Team Leader - Learning Disabilities
Our vision is of a world where people with disabilities are equal and can lead the lives they want. We make this happen by being a person centred housing and support organisation passionate about supporting people with disabilities to pursue their chosen lifestyle. We have 2 services based in Walton on Thames housing both male and female service users. At Midway the service users are aged between their early 60s and late 70s and have learning difficulties and acquired brain injury. All service users are very sociable and enjoy being out and about. Hersham Road is a 10 bedroomed property with 9 service users aged between 37 and 71 years. They have mild to severe learning disabilities, mental ill health, Epilepsy, challenging behaviour and mobility and nutrition needs. As Team Leader you must have experience of supporting service users on the autistic spectrum, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, challenging behaviour and mental health needs and be available to work some evenings, weekends and sleep ins. You must be able to drive and have use of a car for work purposes. We work on a collaborative basis across cluster, which means you must have a flexible approach and be able to adapt to changing priorities. We need a confident Team Leader, who will be responsible for promoting a culture based on respect and dignity for our service users,and providing supervision and clear management to a staff team You should also have experience within the learning disability sector have a thorough knowledge of CQC outcomes and hold a minimum of an NVQL3 qualification.
