St Luke’s Hospice in Plymouth have been caring for thousands of terminally ill patients for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for over 30 years and the passion and dedication to offer dignity and choice has never dwindled. The Maintenance Assistant will be part of a team to provide a support service, with a customer service focus. The teams’ aim is to provide a comprehensive maintenance service to both the main Hospice building and grounds, and leased / owned buildings which form part of the Hospice estate. The assistant will work in partnership with the Maintenance Manager to ensure delivery of a streamlined, effective maintenance and facilities service to the organisation.
The successful candidate will have a city and guilds or equivalent qualification in a recognised trade, previous experience working in a busy maintenance department and ideally hold an electrical qualification. You will have experience in a customer facing role and be able to display patience within a pressurised environment.
This is a 22.50 hour a week position working Monday-Friday however the successful candidate must be flexible to carry out weekend call-out requirements as and when required.
